ISIDORE DUCASSE

Isidore Lucien Ducasse, born on April 4, 1846 in Montevideo (Uruguay) and died on November 24, 1870 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, was a Franco-Uruguayan poet. He is also known under the pseudonym Count of Lautréamont (often simply called Lautréamont), which he most likely borrowed from Eugène Sue's novel Latréaumont (1837) and yet used only once.
