"The Great Games of Surrealisms", Le Grand Jeu in Motion, proceedings of the Reims conference compiled by Olivier Penot-Lacassagne and Emmanuel Rubio, L'Age d'Homme, 2007, pp. 29-42.
This is a perfect example of the work carried out by the Surrealism Research Center. First, there was a conference held at the University of Reims in 2004, for the excellent reason that the group that called itself Le Grand Jeu was first formed at the boys' high school in this city. Organized by Olivier Penot-Lacassagne, who was then a lecturer there, with the collaboration of Emmanuel Rubio, research associate at the University of Paris III, and the support of all members of our center. These two young researchers were driven by such passion that I had nothing to say on the scientific level, contenting myself with finding the financial means for this meeting, and finalizing the proceedings into a book published in the Mélusine Library, which I directed at L'Age d'Homme editions. As for the subject I addressed in the session, it seemed essential to me to understand the relationships of the surrealists with the young people who wanted to lead Le Grand Jeu, and succeeded in large part.
