
LÉON PIERRE-QUINT
Léon Pierre-Quint, whose real name was Léopold Léon Steindecker, born in Paris 16th on September 7, 1895 and died on July 21, 1958 in Clichy (Seine), was an influential French writer, publisher (Kra then Sagittaire) and literary critic of the first half of the 20th century, patron of Le Grand Jeu . Director of Éditions du Sagittaire for more than twenty years, he helped launch the surrealist movement. He was also a friend of Proust and Gide, to whom he devoted articles and works that are still referenced.
