"Magnetic Liaisons": if I borrow this formula from Patrick Chamoiseau, it is not out of concern for convenience. It summarizes, by itself, the creative genius of Édouard Glissant, while placing him in the wake of the Magnetic Fields, that inaugural text of the movement which provoked the deepest earthquake in 20th century art. To inscribe the author of Poetics of Relation in the surrealist epic? Such a project may seem suspect of an annexation will. Looking closely, it nevertheless does not lack solid arguments.
