The Dali exhibition meets with very great attendance, and that's all to the good.
To make visitors wait who are in a queue that lasts up to two hours, I advise them to read an authentic document by Dali, which, it seems to me, is not found in the exhibition or in the bookstore that imposes itself towards the exit : Salvador DALI, The Secret Life of Salvador Dali. Am I a Genius ? critical ed. of original manuscripts established by Frédérique JOSEPH-LOWERY, 2006, 740 p.
I have worked sufficiently on this book, both for the layout and the editing proper, to be able to say that one HEARS the artist himself there.

I also propose reading two substantial articles (if I may say so):

  • "Surrealism and Science", preface to: Salvador Dali at the Crossroads of Knowledge, A. Ruffa, Ph. Kaenel, D. Chaperon (ed.), Paris, Desjonquères, 2007, p. 15-25.
  • "Scatodali: from scatology to eschatology", in Salvador Dali on the Traces of Eros, proceedings of the international colloquium of Cerisy, Notari, Geneva, 2010, p. 82-93. This last one in downloadable attachment.
