I am particularly grateful to Michel Décaudin (1919-2004) for taking the initiative to publish this work which was, originally, only a set of citations, noted in my own digital corpus, intended to fuel the discussion of a research group. In fact, despite the notices noted below, this publication still calls for comments.

Text reprinted in: Henri Béhar, La Littérature et son golem. Volume II, Paris, Classiques Garnier, 2010, p. 189 to 216. Collection: Études de littérature des xxe et xxie siècles, n° 10.

The first fascicle is occupied (pp. 5‑27) by a communication by Henri Béhar at the Apollinaire Seminar (at the Sorbonne nouvelle): The Leg and the Wheel — Apollinaire and surrealism. In his conclusion the A. says that it is an "inventory." It is the citation of almost all the passages from the works of Tzara, Aragon and Breton, where Apollinaire is mentioned, according to three chapters: I – Everyday marvelous. II ‑ The transmutation of the real. III – The surreal. From his first sentence, the a. says he is "confused at having nothing new to say"; but his work is very useful.
