"Jarry Before Contemporary Criticism": European Language Literatures at the Turn of the Century, Today's Readings, Series A, Notebook II, 1978, pp. 65-72.
This study was requested of me by Stéphane Sarkany, director of the International Research Group "1900", Carleton University. I was then working at the University of Abidjan, and used the material available in that institution's library. This shows how rich it was in French-language journals, but this explains certain absences that the literary historian will find there today.
I have no personal version of it, so I had to resort to the volume preserved and bound by the BnF, which explains the curve of the image…
