A CORRESPONDENCE FROM OVERSEAS

PASSAGE EN REVUES

"A CORRESPONDENCE FROM OVERSEAS, LETTERS FROM ANDRÉ BRETON, PAUL ÉLUARD AND GEORGES HUGNET TO HERBERT READ", IN: MÉLUSINE XXVIII, SURREALISM AS HERITAGE, 2008, PP. 267-274.

Having access to a completely unpublished correspondence, I researched the epistolary exchange and produced it as a "Document" in volume XXVIII of Mélusine publishing the proceedings of the Cerisy conference (see the article Lautréamont and Them). It is not a question of heritage, but rather of collaboration between groups. We will see above all the role played by Herbert Read in their exchanges. My introduction provides the circumstances of this historic meeting.
