
JEAN WAHL
Jean André Wahl (born on May 25, 1888 in Marseille and died on June 19, 1974 in Paris 9th) was a French philosopher. He was a professor at the Sorbonne from 1936 to 1967, except during the Second World War, when he was first excluded from higher education then arrested and interned at the Drancy camp, finally released at the end of 1941 following a dysentery epidemic. He moved to the southern zone then to the United States, from where he only returned after the end of the war.
