GIORGIO DE CHIRICO

Giorgio De Chirico, born on July 10, 1888 in Vólos in Thessaly (Greece), and died on November 20, 1978 in Rome (Italy), was an Italian painter, sculptor and writer whose works, unanimously admired by surrealists until 1925, were then rejected just as unanimously. He is one of the founders of the metaphysical painting movement.
